Polaris never was a people person. He grew up the youngest of three siblings, and thus third in line for the throne of Kahsitra, a frozen kingdom in the northern pole of Xyndros. Despite this, he soon outgrew his siblings by a mile, and proved to be a formidable fighter. One day, he dreamt he was king, and thus king he was to be. At 180, he slaughtered his family in their sleep, and crowned himself king with the rising moon. Despite his youth, he made a formidable foe, and would move on to conquer several neighboring kingdoms, taking a princet for a spouse as advised by his council to secure an heir. But he turned his gaze south, seeking out an apprentice brought to him in his dreams. When the Riandrriaum king of Sayoria was slain in battle with a neighboring kingdom, Polaris saw his chance. He waged war with Sayoria's opponents, bringing them to their knees. When the young king, Melanthos Riandrriaum was 200, Polaris demanded he return with him to Kahsitra as payment for his aid; and Melanthos followed.
