another detective? yeah
A young (20's) detective (in training, actually) just scraping by. Surprisingly smart for somebody who just wants to act like the character in all the books and films he saw as a kid. Less so focused on the job itself or the tasks at hand-- moreso just on the fact that being a detective is "cool". He may look older than he is-- but that's just down on him getting little sleep (due to staying out and reading in bars? who does that?) and having developed some less-than-good habits (smoking).
