Runa

Runa grew up with her best friend, Helena. They were very different people, Runa being very reserved and introverted while Helena was talkative and extroverted, but that is what made them the perfect pair. Helena was always a lot more magically gifted then Runa, which often made them pretty jealous, but Helena would always offer her help and guidance, even if it wasn't always fully appreciated by Runa. As time passed, they only grew closer and eventually ending up falling in love. They even got their own place together, everything seemed to be just perfect, but unfortunately that wouldn't last forever.

It all started around the time the true military declared war on humans. The trues were willing and ready to do whatever it took to take back their freedom, but it was fuelled by a hunger for revenge. Innocent human lives were now being lost at the hands of trues, and Runa was at the heart of it all. She felt bitter about what the humans had done to her people and her solution was to put them though the suffering that the trues had endured. Helena was very upset about this, she believed that all lives were valuable and that Runa was going too far. They fought a lot over the next year, eventually leading to Helena running off to live on her own. During this time, Runa was determined to become more powerful, they would spend days doing nothing but practicing their magic and battle techniques, but still wouldn't be satisfied with the results. That is until one day when one of their arguments with Helena got a little too heated. In a moment of fury, Runa accidentally summoned her elemental magic, just barely missing Helena with her blast. But this wasn't any normal water magic, this wasn't even a type of magic they had ever seen before, this was dark magic.
