Profile
Katabatic Nargacuga
Originating from the deep arctic regions, the Katabatic Nargacuga has well adapted to life buried under snow. Its large paws paired with its small wings in comparison to its forest-dwelling kin of the new and old worlds have developed to dig and glide respectively. Large claws are able to dig into ice floes and its powerful hindquarters allow it to leap from one wall of a crevasse to another.
This nargacuga is quite small, and sticks to small-to-medium sized prey as its main source of food. It is a relatively docile subspecies, only attacking hunters if they pose enough of a territorial threat. A lot of northern rider villages seem to begin their riders’ training with this monster… the combination of its sweet spirit, agile mobility, and thick fur make it easy to handle and warm to ride on.
