Meiling

I'm striking some canon territory so prepare for cRINGE RAAHH

Name: Meiling.
Nickname(s): Mei, Mei-mei,

Gender: Female.
Species: Tiger.

Occupation: Mercenary.

Meiling is Tigress' long lost sister. Basically, their parents raised Meiling themselves but around the time Tigress could walk, they went into poverty. This lead to the difficult decision of them putting Tigress in the Bao Gu orphanage. However the Tiger family did not recover financially and had to live in poor conditions to survive. Meiling obtains a job at a very young age in attempt to help her parents, but little does she know, she accidently sells herself to an illegal slave operation. She was taken away from her home, marked, beaten, and corrupted with resentment towards her little sister. Meiling firmly believes Tigress was the cause of everything. If she hadn't been born their family could have been thriving, she wouldn't have needed a job so early in her life and she wouldn't have ended up in slavery. (Though this is untrue, bad luck had just struck the parents at the wrong time-)

Meiling's childhood was taken away from her as she grew up in the slave operation. Luckily she learned a thing or two because of it. Her skin became as tough as jade, She feels little to nothing emotionally, and knows when to keep her mouth shut. Because of this rough start of life, She's quite pessimistic and only understands things when logic is applied to it. She doesn't like things she doesn't understand, like jokes or overall humor. Though despite all these negatives, Meiling is very protective of those she trusts. As back in her early days, not every slave had a friendly face and she could only depend on those who did. Nowadays she wants to protect the innocent folk, hoping to stop criminals from afflicting pain to others. She doesn't want others to have to go through what she went through as a kid. Though her moral compass seems ethical, she doesn't like doing anything for free and often has to be bribed with money to help out.

In Present time, Meiling travels with a group of runaway criminals. At first she only went along with them to look for better opportunities elsewhere, but ended up developing relations towards her newfound friends. Though she doesn't necessarily agree with her friends' actions nor participates in illegal activities (much), she'll still protect them regardless of the cost. They're all she has now, and doesn't wish to lose them whatsoever. Their little squadron consists of herself, Niu Yun, Taio, TBA, and TBA. (kinda like their own furious five but evil lol)

Fun facts:
*She is older than Tigress by 5 years.
*She doesn't know how to read, as she got no education other than how to physically work.
*She wields a rusted glaive which she uses more like a walking stick. Also has an odd attachment to it...
*She may not know kung fu, but she knows how to kick ass regardless lmao
