Abrasive. Hot-headed. Destructive. Reckless. There’s a sense of rage underneath the surface that Tsubaki’s just barely able to contain, so angry at the innumerable injustices that occur unseen in the world. They were trained to aid in ridding the world of such crimes and they took these lessons to heart. Radical in their belief that every problem has a permanent solution, they have no qualms in enacting these solutions themself. Not all of it is violent though (unfortunately). They are just as capable of using quieter means if need be.
Really, impatience is their worst vice. Idleness makes their fur itch, and they hate the notion of waiting for a favourable outcome. The only way to guarantee such a thing is to involve yourself in getting it done in their eyes. They hold no respect for the whiners who expect good things to come to them for no effort.
For all the anger that resides in them however, their loyalty and conviction hold no bounds. Their willingness to protect others is always there, ready to throw themselves in conflict to either draw attention to themself or rid everyone of the problem. Frankly they stopped caring about what other people think long ago so they can take the insults if it means the weak-willed ones don’t.

HISTORY
From a young age, Tsubaki was… something.
Born to a rich family in Zoloto alongside their twin of a few minutes their junior, the kitsune was at the lap of luxury. A mansion to call their home, private education, a staff to do their bidding, they had it all. They weren't spoiled though.
Unlike most kids surrounded by such riches, Tsubaki never asked for much. They accepted whatever they were given, sure, but they didn't have the need for more than that. If anything they despised the pampered since they were a child, who never seemed to have enough and decided to take from other kids their age. The kitsune, headstrong as they were, was often scolded for their harsh treatment towards bullies.
It wasn't until later in their schooling that the secret behind their wealth and power was revealed to the twins. As it turned out, their city was buried deep in crime, and for generations their family served to protect its inhabitants from the many evil-doers in Zoloto. By any means necessary.
Needless to say, Tsubaki was on board with joining the ranks as a protector.
Sword and magic training were mixed in with the rest of their lessons then, and knowledge on all the areas they had control over was imparted on the kitsune. When they were strong enough they and their sister joined their older brother on missions outside of the estate, imparting whatever opinions they may have to guide the heir's decisions or having a hand at removing certain targets. Tsubaki had always been known for their ruthless nature.
Since the darker side of the business had to remain under wraps however, Tsubaki eventually had to take on an alternative profession. With no preference on what that may be, they let their sister drag them to the modelling industry. Their looks certainly helped them play the part. It's just as well too, for a new town was opening up that they were tasked to see into the possibility of expanding their protections there.
A new town meant little to no crime though. As annoyed as they were that their skills would be wasted on the venture, they begrudgingly accepted the mission and joined their siblings in their future residence.
SPELLS
NATURE | LIGHT | EMOTIONFLORAL RAZOR
NATURESweeping up grass, leaves and petals from the environment around them, Tsubaki can make them as sharp as blades and launch them outward. While not lethal individually unless aimed well, they’re meant to overwhelm with sheer numbers. Thousand papercuts anyone?
SLASH MINE
LIGHTSummoned by their blade, Tsubaki can lay down slashes suspended in the air as they attack to be used up later, either to be launched in the direction the slashes are facing or to burst in place. Building them up over time in combat, they can essentially create a minefield out of this spell.
ASININE MINDSET
EMOTIONThere’s a difference between bravery and fearlessness. Bravery is to be respected. Fearlessness should be judged for its stupidity.
Masked as a taunt, Tsubaki rids their adversaries of their fear with this spell. In this way their opponent becomes more reckless, walking straight into traps and taking hits they shouldn’t as their self-preservation is removed. They become more susceptible to the kitsune’s more offensive spells this way, as they no longer see the benefits to dodging until the damage is done.
TRIVIA
- Of Japanese descent, they would often speak in it towards family.
- They have a katana. They would open carry it if they could but it's apparently frowned upon. Go figure.
- You will never see them in any clothes lighter than a navy.
- Tsubaki does wood carving as a past-time, taking the hobby from their brother.
