Frostine

Frostine is a stern and "proper" librarian who can be a bit of a nag at times. She's very protective of her books and knowledge, and though she resents anyone who doesn't respect that- she is enormously friendly towards those who do. She's happy to help with questions, though she can visibly become very frustrated when she doesn't know the answer to something, and will easily go on a tunnel-visioned rampage to figure it out. 

She is easily anxious, especially when death and existentialism is involved. Though things with practical solutions and answers she can easily keep her cool and take a logical approach. 

Outside of her library, she's much more reserved, and takes an observational approach to life and learning from those around her. She can come across as bossy and confident in her own "territory"- either in her library protecting her beloved books, or when asked about a subject she's knowledgeable about; but when brought into external settings she's much more understated and introverted. 

Frostine is a sphinx native to the eastern countries of Isethef, though she spent much of her youth wandering with her parents and as such doesn't really recall a home she grew up in. She grew up with her noses in books and stories of all natures, and when she finally settled down in Caisos, she established a library- at first in her small home and expanding it to allow access to others. She hoards her books like treasure, and those who don't respect her literary collection are quick to earn her ire and be removed.

She suffers from terrible nightmares, and has a deep sense of paranoia about the world ending, and the wrath of the gods. This paired with her tendency to avoid social situations gives her the impression of being very eccentric and a loner.

She holds the belief that knowledge will be the only thing that survives "The end", and as such thinks holding her books to the highest standards and most valuable sources of information will someday "Save the future". While she is considered a bit melodramatic over it by the local villagers, she does have good intentions...and is very knowledgeable about things they have inquiry about.
