History

A Grem who's purpose was as a companion for a rancher who needed an extra hand around the place as well as for company on the long trips herding their stock. Eastwood settled in well to the lifestyle, being young and strong made work around the place a lot easier, with his patience and steadfast personality perfect for the long and sometimes tying journeys they went on.

Unfortunately, one journey was a lot more trying than the others, where a group of outlaws ambushed them. Eastwood ended up going with the outlaws so they'd spare his owner's life. Heists, robberies and shoot outs were all this Grem knew for the next few years, but he never stopped planning his escape. He was caught on his first escape attempt, but he came to see the scars less as punishment and more as motivation to escape the gang. A train robbery is what sealed their fate. Eastwood's sabotage caused an early explosion, forcing the outlaws to run off in a panic right into the hands of the nearby sheriff. Lucky for the Grem, he was found in the rubble before he could bleed out from losing his tail, patched up and testifying against the outlaws in custody. This earned him his freedom, and not long after he recovered he was allowed to finally return home.

He was, however, too late. His owner had passed from old age by the time the Grem earned his freedom, much to Eastwood's despair. It was not all a loss though, as his owner's gratitude for his companion's sacrifice meant Eastwood was left with ownership of the entire property, ranch and stock. Ever since, he's made it his mission to help other Grems who weren't as lucky as he was, or just simply have no other place to be. So long as you're willing to work for your keep, you're welcome to stay as long as you need. Years of hardship has made him very receptive to listening to others and offering advice, more than happy to take on a paternal role in someone's life.
