Terrence

Terry is a shapeshifting demon residing in the second circle of hell.
He was hired as a spy for his unique ability, which was granted to him in favor of being a notorious con artist, murderer and thief in his human life.
His human life is a very private matter despite his bluntness and general disgusting conduct. His mother was a brothel crawling whore and he didn't know his father, but he had a younger brother. At 16, his brother was 8, and his mother was absent at all hours. He had to take action into his own hands.
Being a particularly hot-headed young man with no guidance and a child to take care of, he took it out on the city. On the people who didn't care if they lived or died in Victoria's glorious land! He led the wealthy to back streets they couldn't navigate, ensuring so many promises of business endeavors or fantastical sideshows. Sometimes he spared the victim, sometimes he cut their throats.
This wasn't routine, and he stretched what they could get in clever ways. Unfortunately, one day while turning in a diamond necklace to pawn, the merchant recognized it despite being ruled out as inconspicuous.
The merchant tipped it off to the authorities, and Terrence was taken out by one of his victim's hitmen before the law could get to him.
He was struck in the jaw with a spade, beaten until nearly-dead locked up in a wooden box. The men took him into the country, still unconscious and buried him alive.
