A peculiar rabbit-like creature, the rare and magical skvader, was found in the forests of Sweden in a bed of twinflowers by the great Jean-Claude Bonheur, a magician with a real gift. Not just an illusionist or performer, but capable of far more supernatural enchantments due to his fae ancestry originating, like Inge's kind, in a world of magic once merged with the world of man. This genuine magical aptitude bled into their work of stage magic, captivating large audiences and selling out shows all across Europe and the US during the roaring 20s.

Inge was both rabbit and dove pulled from the hat in one, dazzling on the stage as one of the magician’s assistants and most beloved magic tricks. He would fly around stage and sit like a parrot on his shoulder but when he wasn’t on stage or in the dressing room, he was back in the trusty top hat… That seemed to become his more permanent home as his magician’s fame continued to rise.

During one of their sell out shows in Vegas while touring the US, the magician’s hat was lost, stolen by a fan or possibly just misplaced, with Inge still inside it. He waited inside the hat for many years, stored and sold, passed from commoner to commoner and talent to talent, but none with the same magic capable of removing him from his odd confinement beyond the veil of reality.

10 years ago his hat was purchased from a small antique shop, dusted off, and ABRACADABRA! A joke incantation summoned him to the hat’s current owner, who unbeknownst to them, had enough magical aptitude in their bloodline to find Inge in the vintage top hat. Thus began his new adventure nearly a century later, exploring the modern world and sharing the skills left by his magician. The owner of the hat was an old collector of showman and circus memorabilia and upon finding Inge (physically age 13) and discovering his ability to take a human form, he decided to take him in as his own and would tell others he was a distant family member orphaned by an accident. Ingrid has since adapted to this new time over the past decade, attending school and college like a normal kid all the while hiding his other form, only to learn more of it upon reaching adulthood while presently perusing his passion for show business.
