Kansuke Naka

A calm, collected, and refined-looking gentleman. Approaches things with a level head and values justice & loyalty above all. He came from a very rich family, but cut ties for unknown reasons and ended up a detective. Wears lots of jewelry and accessories made of silver to supplement his ability when necessary. Grew up with an excellent education, but is still learning street smarts and social skills. Reliable, but takes things a little too seriously sometimes. Usually hard to read, but if you know the right buttons to push, he gets extremely embarrassed really easily.

Ability: Silver Spoon. The user can manipulate anything made of silver to his will, including changing its state of matter (solid to liquid, etc) and reshaping it into objects. The silver must already be present. Kansuke carries two pistols made of silver in twin holsters at all times (with silver bullets). When in danger, his first instinct is to use the guns for self-defense. Whether he hits or misses his opponent, the silver bullet becomes a ranged weapon to give him an edge; for example, he can liquify the bullets in their wounds and form bindings, such as handcuffs, if the amount of silver is great enough. Should the guns be insufficient, he will liquify the silver on his body - arm guards, buttons, hairpins, etc. - and amass them together to create a larger weapon, a defensive shield, or any other object that may help. He has an entire suit of armor made of steel and lined with silver, which maximizes his defense and his offensive range - but he rarely wears it, because it's heavy.

Kansuke has sholder length, olive green hair that is typically pinned in a half-bun with silver hairsticks and adorned with silver barettes and headbands. He has a silver streak of hair in the middle of his head that has a metallic sheen. He has five piercings on each ear as well as two industrial piercings, and he wears an assortment of necklaces, bracelets, wristwatches, lockets, and other jewelry - all made of silver, of course. As an added measure of defence, he customizes his clothes whenever possible to be lined with silver fibers and replaces the buttons, zippers, etc. with silver. Aside from the level of practicality, his sense of fashion is stiffly formal; being seen in casual wear is a mortifying concept to him, and he only truly dresses down when he's going to sleep. His eyes are brown and constantly alert.

Kansuke was born into a very rich and prestigious family in the Aoyama district of the Minato ward. His family valued tradition and appearances above all, putting him through strict lessons in etiquette, speech, fashion, and poise alongside his rigorous academic studies and athletic training. The moment they discovered he was an ability user, they forbade him from ever using it, fearing the inevitable disruption it would cause their family if word got out. Despite their distance and the immense pressure placed on Kansuke, he never accused his family of mistreatment, and seems more indifferent when speaking of them than anything. In addition his intense training, Kansuke traveled around the world in his youth accompanied by his wards and tutors, and he reveled in these moments. Away from his parents' prying eyes, he used this time to experiment with his ability and with breaking the rules he dare not cross back home - he would sneak away as often as possible and seek out locals his age to cause trouble with.

When he entered his teens, his desire for rebellion, thrillseeking, and freedom would become too much for him to suppress. He began to silently challenge his authorities, use his ability behind closed doors, and flee the estate in pursuit of excitement when the sun went down. Unable to let go of all the comforts his life offered, however, he still continued his lessons with vigor and acted his part around his parents. As their frustration with him rose, his frustration only rose in turn. Things would come to a sudden head when Kansuke would witness a gang disposing of a body one night on an escapade, and was captured by them for questioning. Kansuke would never return home, but instead spend the next four years of his life in full-throttle chaos. He became a member of the gang rather than a victim only when he proved his usefulness through his ability, and unwillingly helped them with bigger and bigger jobs. Through his day-to-day life between criminal relations, lawbreaking, and betrayals, he learned a lot about the world in a short amount of time - and about himself. He eventually escaped his captivity, newly desensitized to violence and unflinching at the trail of blood he left behind.

The wandering life didn't suit Kansuke. Stuck in a deep moral dilemma and identity crisis, he decided the only way he could live with himself would be to seek atonement. Originally, this meant turning himself in and relaying all the information he had on his former gang to the police - but this decision was quickly reversed when, now deep into the streets of Yokohama, he witnessed an interaction between law officers and criminals that erased any hope he once had for retribution. He realized the deep seeded corruption in the world, even among those who pledged their lives to protect others, and devised a new plan. Instead of surrendering himself, he would begin a new life - one dedicated to delivering justice to this corrupted world. His affinity for finding trouble led him to the scene of a crime that was being investigated by Miyuki Miyabe and Shohei Ouoka, members of the Armed Detective Agency. From there, he would attempt to integrate himself into the world as a regular person, free of chains, for the very first time - and to carry out his vow.

• Kansuke, for whatever reason, is extremely lucky. He always comes out near the top in games of chance, but unfortunately, he refuses to gamble.
• Before he joined the Agency, Kansuke had never used a cell phone or a computer in his life. He's still figuring those out.
• Kansuke has never told anyone about his past. His teammates at the Agency know the most about him, but all he's shared with them is about his wealthy upbringing.
