A rare transplant from the isolationist and reclusive Vaervan Kingdom, Sastya fled the riches and comfort of the most advanced nation to travel to backwater Sarens, seeking research, glory, and intrigue. Having heard tales of the amount of passive behemoths emerging from the Maiden's Tangle, she sought to study these creatures and discern an explanation for Sarens' influx. 

Of course, life is not as easy as it sounds - obtaining permits to travel into the Maiden's Tangle is an exceptionally difficult task, and many of the behemoths living in Sarens are not interested in being experimented on or even answering survey questions. The general populace's aversion to her Vaervan technology has crippled her use of it, on top of everything else.

Still, she's never been a quitter. And, in some sense, being challenged so heavily excites her.
