dayspring aura, or "daisie" by friends, is the mysterious daughter of two crystal ponies. she hardly talks about her parents, and when inquired of them, most often says that they do not keep in touch.
as a filly, she showed strong promise in the pursuits of magic. so, her parents sent her away to canterlot, where she could hone that skill with the best of the best. they set her up with a couple who lived in canterlot and had good, decent connections. it seemed odd to moon dancer that her parents did not pack up and move with her to the big city. a child was not in her plans, at first, but she took in the young filly anyhow.
daisie maintains the appearance of a calm personality and confidence radiates off of her. she is hardly humble. she is known to have a bit of a pretentious attitude, believing herself better than most other ponies. she certainly believes she is destined for greatness, destined to be the most important pony in equestria.
daisie grew up watching the royal families. her magic classes often consisted of astrophel nova, of which she considers a royal pain in the ass. at the same time, he has also become one of her closest friends.
