Grew up in Oldale Town, where his parents still live.
He started his journey as a Pokémon trainer when he was 11 but didn't treat it seriously and didn't get very far at all until he was 16, when he finally beat the 5th gym. He met Flynn when he was 17 and traveled with him for two years.
His Zorua came from Flynn.
He beat the Elite Four at 18.
Started dating Flynn at 19.
Became the Hoenn dark type Gym Leader at 20.
