Aadhir

Childhood friend of Cloud.
When they’d been younger, the two would sneak from their territories to meet at a river in a valley, which flows as a boundary between their clans. Aadhir would fly over to play— though Cloud’s family had picked up the tracks of an intruder. The two kept going with their secret visits, increasing the tensions between their lineages to their unawares. Finally Aadhir had been caught, and Cloud’s clan congratulated him on catching the culprit- to which he played along with in order to avoid getting into trouble. But soon after Aadhir was called to be clipped of his flight, Cloud spoke out in its defense. Aadhir was released, and took to the skies. Cloud admitted to inviting the enemy within their borders, and was then banished from his clan. 

Aadhir, however, remained resentful for not having heard the full story. Set on believing it had been deceived by Cloud, it returned the favor by promising a home on its side of the mountains. He followed and found himself ambushed, where Aadhir sat and watched within Cloud’s view. He fought for his life, taking the lives of one of his attackers— Aadhir’s brother— and took to running.

Aadhir and Cloud still fight to this very day— Cloud forever running, and Aadhir seeking revenge over rest.
