She collects the souls that are lost (ghosts that aren't corporeal?), and keeps them safe, and gives them a sense of companionship

she takes them where they need to go, but won't force them to leave her

Some have decided to stay and return the favor of companionship

She talks to them mentally, but sometimes, when the conversation is intense, things slip out verbally(they still hear her as the words still pass through her mind) and others tend to think she's a bit strange. She doesn't mind though

a friendly individual towards the souls that they collect. Like...a friend welcoming a new soul and gently guiding them to where they need to be.
