Born to a British Father and American mother, Amity was part of a very wealthy and respected family. Her father inherited a shipping company and plantations from his father after he retired, and was exceedingly popular with the locals in the Caribbean, especially his slaves. Amity knew of her Assassin heritage from a young age, much to her fathers frustration, due to her uncle, who was an active member of the order. amity's father would not allow her to take up a garment, but Amity did what she could as an ally to the order and her family.
Amity was exceedingly close to a young slave girl by the name of Liberty, whom she spent most of her time with. Amity's father even began treating the young girl as if she were his own daughter. Liberty soon took up the Assassins robes in amity's place after being introduced to the order by Amity's uncle, freeing her from her enslavement terms and taking her own as a pupil.
Amity eventually moved to the Colonies with her family and Liberty, leaving trusted friends in charge of his Carribean enterprises, her Father freeing all his slaves but allowing them to stay on as paid workers on the plantations should they so desire. The family was seeking new business opportunities and eventually began assisting America in the Revolution.
