Mithras is a powerful God of Sun. They have such a great power, that they could turn everything around them into ashes. They trick others into thinking they are a kind god, doing things out of pure good will to ensure a good life for everyone, giving the gift of life, and making sure the food grows well with enough sun. But they are not a good god, and for their deeds they want sacrifices in return. And they are usually not small sacrifices.... Sometimes they are just favors, that Mithras would collect in the future, with how they see fit, but sometimes when you ask the God of Sun for a favor bigger than just a bit of sunlight, they would make you repay it for a long time, making you their servant until the dept is repaid. The rumors are, that Mithras has the ability to give froads magic. Some would come to them, asking for power... and they would give it to them.... but not that easy. Mithras wouldn't give power to just anyone. First they would need to prove themselves, do many tasks that seemed almost impossible, life threatening or horrible in such way, that i won't even describe it. Most would die, or just give up with such trauma or exhaustion to not be able to go on. But the few who did everything that Mithras asked, were rewarded.... But there was a catch to that. They were given power... but they would forever serve the God of Sun. They would never be free from their service.
