Profile
Hinoki arrived in the world through a distortion in time and space. He was found unconscious by Mav and Jasper as they were investigating what had been previously reported as “a strange rift that appeared” in the Sapphire Mountains in the Southern Continent. With some help (well, Jasper did most of the heavy lifting), they ferried the comatose Pokemon back to the guild.
He forms one third of Team Elementum, which consists of himself, and the two Pokemon that initially found him, Jasper and Maverick.
The first thing they noticed was, of course, Hinoki didn’t look like any Typhlosion they’d seen prior, and they were even more shocked when they saw his fire was unique in two ways—it was more magenta and red, and it gave off more of a wispy look. Another shocker was Hinoki’s demeanor—he seemed very much more laid back than other Typhlosion. The ultimate surprise came when Hinoki seemingly materialized a purple-colored “fireball” out of thin air...before eventually swallowing said fireball! He assured them that all he was doing was purifying a spirit, a lost soul among the ether, but some doubt about that statement lingers.
It took some time, but most residents of Bluesteel Village have warmed up to Hinoki. The Typh is now the third and newest member of Mav and Jasper’s exploration team, though he still has to get used to some of the newer technology of this current time period…
When not exploring, Hinoki can be found wandering around the village, sometimes appearing lost in thought. He claims he’s tracking the spirits and souls around him, but only he really knows for sure and why. Other times he's relaxing at his new home, usually with a drink of some sort--most of the time it's either tea or sake.
