Pacifica Seasong is an elegant and peaceful pony who loves the ocean more than anything.

 She was once a regular earth pony who attended Twilight Sparkle's school of friendship. She was intelligent and understood the concepts of friendship, but making friends was difficult for her. Pacifica found it hard to relax around other ponies, so she was uptight all the time. Whenever she needed her own space, she would sit by any body of water and imagine she was on the beach, listening to the waves crashing onto the shore. When she had the chance to go swimming, these were the only times she ever felt like she could truly relax. She didn't know why, but somehow it just felt right.

 One day, her class went on a field trip to Mount Aris to learn a friendship lesson. Pacifica tried to concentrate on the teacher, but she couldn't take her eyes off the ocean. It looked so clear and bright, and the sunlight made it shine like a crystal. She wished that she could just dive beneath the waves forever... In a moment of longing, she briefly touched the pearl necklace of her hippogriff classmate and began to transform into a seapony. She grew a beautiful scaled tail, but somehow, because she had only touched the pearl for a splitsecond, she still had her hind legs as well. She dove into the ocean and discovered she could breathe underwater. She had never felt so happy in her life.

Since then, Pacifica has lived in Seaquestria with the seaponies, who welcomed her into their underwater world. She is much calmer and happier living there and finds it easier to make friends. She adores her new life, and has never looked back.
