Bio: Before his death, Aldred worked in a monastery as a monk in the 1300's somewhere in Western Europe, as the eldest of two brothers; while he worked mostly with writing, his brother, Caedyrn, worked as a nurse of sorts in the sick wing. Before 1349, he died from the black plague along with his brother, who was trying his best to heal the sick that was coming to the wing in droves. First it was travelers, then their own ranks that filled the beds.

In death, there was not much Aldred or Caedyrn could do to stop the monastery from becoming devoid of any human life. It was crowded during the first few years, since there were so many spirits wandering the halls. Year by year, more and more spirits moved on, but neither Aldred nor Caedyrn let go. They kept at their earthly duties, not ever wanting to move on just in case another plague were to break out and claim more lives while they could have been gone.

Like most ghosts, Aldred has unfinished business in the land of the living. He refuses to accept that the monastery he worked so hard in is in ruin and has been defunct for centuries. His goal is to keep it "pristine" and house travelers like the old building used to. Of course, no sane person wants to stay in ruins haunted by ghosts!
