Cadella

Years ago, Cadella's father ruled over the Dry Dry Desert lands with his beautiful young daughter Cadella Aver. Their residents consisted of peaceful koopas who lived in the desert and all was well. However, Cadella's father got a little too bold and began to challenge other kingdoms. He didn't dare touch the Mushroom kingdom, but he instead set his eyes on Boo Woods, which had a lot of resources Dry Dry Desert just didn't have.

He came across a mysterious mansion seemingly uninhabited and decided to move his family there while he set up shop in this new territory. Koopas set to work building new villages in this oasis forest. However, the natives didn't take too kindly to that. Enraged, the Boos attacked the entire kingdom- wiping out most of the Koopas. But the Boos didn't stop there. They went straight for the royal family to get their point across. 

When Cadella was murdered, her father was in a maddened stupor. Even long after his daughter was autopsied, had her funeral and buried, he refused to believe she was gone. He was desperate and sought after the one thing that could bring her back: the legendary star rod. 

He wished that his daughter and his people would live on forever, even after he had passed. He felt like he had failed his people. Because of the genuinity of his wish, the Star Guardians allowed it despite it's unorthodox nature. 

And so the Koopas of the Dry Dry Kindgom became the infamous Dry Bones- never able to die. The same fate happened to his daughter as well. She had been slightly disfigured from being dead for about a week, but she does not decompose with the immortality the star rod gave her. She is unable to make many friends with her appearance, and stays hidden away in the mansion she died in. Her mother, now the wisp, Willow, hangs about with her trying to sate her boredom, while Cadella is unaware that she is with her mother.

Now she watches over all the dry bones and takes care of them... they all admire and respect their princess. 

When Luigi moves into the haunted mansion years later, Cadella is smitten. Not only has she been incredibly lonely for such a long time, but she finds Luigi's timidness to be adorable. She follows him around everywhere and tries to give him tea and cookies-- unfortunately for her, Luigi is a wuss and is terrified of her.
