Layla is the middle of three siblings, and despises it. She's always felt mediocre and unimportant until one day she was approached by a mysterious creature with an offer for her to become a magical girl (Layla practically jumped on the offer). She had fun fighting monsters by herself for a while, but later became frustrated when she got little to no recognition for it, and felt even more isolated. 

She has a lot of confidence and self worth issues, and has a hard time fighting for good when it's so easy to be bad.
