Ira is a grumpy guy that would much rather stay hoe and drink than have to interact with the world. If drunk, he is much kinder to anyone who may visit. He has a knack for gardening and is one of the few joys he has in life. He has very poor eyesight but his sense of smell if very high and he can identify flowers by scent at this point in his life.
