Her full name is Stella Rosali but goes by "Star" as it's what her older sister, Delila, would refer to her as before her sudden passing, about a year or so before meeting Kimiko and the others. Since then, Star has a journal in which she writes letters to her sister in a private journal.

 Star has lived a very rough childhood, her family was heavily involved with the Italian Mafia for the longest time before her birth, they were always gone and when they were home, they'd get into violent fights, neither giving their kids any attention. Star would always look up to her sister who did most of the caring for her, teaching her to cook, helping with school, and to take care of herself in the future. After losing Delila, Star ended up dropping from school as her mother had walked out, Star didn't think it was worth it. Soon after her father became desperate as he had no income and sold her to pay his debts. That's when she met Kimiko, who was tailing the mob's car before ambushing them in an alley and getting away with Star (and the car-)

After, Star was allowed to stay at the lair until things on the surface cleared up, as she also didn't have any other family. Her life turns around for the better at this point. She became very close friends with Kimiko and Donatello, and best friends with Michelangelo, which would later become romantic and April who let her work with her at the 2nd Time Around before Star moved into a studio apartment in April's unit after it was rebuilt. 

Star is currently training in self defense, specializing with tonfa and chakrams.

Through a LARP session and camping trip through the woods outside of the farmhouse, Mikey finds an amulet inside an abandoned house that he places around her head as it looks like a Mage's accessory. This amulet allows Star to see premonitions, more like small glimpses, of what's to come or something from the past, a small ball of light flashes as it hits a target and she can see from that person or animal's past or future. As she learns to use it better, Star is able to use this with combat as she's able to see what her opponent is about to do a few minutes ahead of time. However, that part can cause migraines if overused.
