Cereza (チェリー, Sereza) is a knight of the Onyx Task Force and the only known female member.

Appearance 
Cereza is a young woman of average height and weight with sandy brown hair in  an asymmetrical cut with clavicle length side fringe and shaggy bangs,  light teal eyes and a small mole above the right side of her mouth. She  wears the Onyx Knights uniform, which is a slightly more feminized and  tailored to fit her body.

Personality
Being a knight of the Onyx Task Force and personal guard for King Charioce XVII,  Cereza is meticulous when it comes to everything she does. She's  determined to do her job and prove that just because she's a woman, she  can achieve what men can do. She comes off as hostile and distant to  those outside of knights, being wary of their intentions to her and  Charioce.

She's very battle oriented, stealthy and works in the  shadows as an assassin due to her slender form. She's also incredibly  mature for being as young as she is, being considered an "old soul".

History
Back when Jeanne d'Arc was captain of the Orleans Knights, Cereza joined as a  foot soldier. Through persistence and strength of heart, she climbed  the ranks until she was serving beside Kaisar Lidfard, Dias Bardolomew  and Alessand Visponti. Being a woman, she was belittled and criticized for joining the Orleans Knights just like Jeanne was despite her  ranking. Once Jeanne was exiled and Kaisar took over as captain, she got  promoted by Charioce to join the Onyx Knights upon taking notice of her skills and ferocity.

When Kaisar turns traitor, she joins his side to help him stop the fighting  between Charioce and Azazel, eventually going to jail for her crimes against the kingdom and Charioce himself. When she was freed, Cereza and the others went into hiding where Rita dressed her up as a demon to "camouflage" her appearance  from the Onyx Knights until she infiltrated the castle in an attempt to get the bracelet from around Charioce's wrist. Being one of the group that infiltrated the castle, Cereza disguised herself in a dress and attempted to blend into the crowd by mingling with others, which failed miserably. When the mission failed and they left to escape, she followed behind Favaro and Kaisar who chased after Nina where they ran into the Onyx Knights and another of Nina's kind where they were forced to fight them off before Mugaro and Sofiel come to rescue them and an injured and heartbroken Nina.

Relationships
Charioce XVII: Despite  being a member of his personal guard and being her king, Cereza harbors  a great hatred for him. While she can see his side of things when it  comes to demons and gods alike, she refuses to kill for fun because he  orders her to. Cereza is his favorite pet for many reasons, one because  she's a woman and two, she's an ruthless assassin. When the final battle came and Cereza watched Kaisar die in front of her eyes after he jumped in between Jeanne and Azazel's attempt to strike down Charioce, she too attempted to kill Charioce with no avail.


Kaisar Lidfard: Having  served under him for a short time while being apart of the Orleans  Knights, Cereza had learned a lot from him such as fighting skills and  to open up more (which isn't a lot). She admires his strength and skills  along with his kind heart when it comes to the matters concerning demon  kind. She'd grown to have romantic feelings for him but refuses to do  anything about it. Even if confronted about it, she won't reveal that she has feelings for him, not that he would return her affections.

Rita: Cereza is on somewhat friendly terms with the zombie, often helping her deal with Kaisar. The two of them bicker with each other from time-to-time, but at the end of the day, they enjoy each others company. When Kaisar died, Cereza became even more distant than she was until she learned that Rita turned him into a zombie.

Equipment & Weapons
Sword: The sword attached to her hip she uses for battle. Quick with ease removal from hilt.
Hidden blades: Apart of the Onyx Knights armor, hidden blades on the inside of the gauntlets. Good for stealth kills.

Powers & Abilities 
Hand to Hand Combat: Easily able to take out several mercenaries with ease.
Sword skill: Cereza is a proficient swordsman, able to keep up with even the most experienced knights. Because of her smaller stature, she's a lot more flexible and able to strike at a faster rate.

Trivia

• Her name is a reference to Bayonetta since there's a character also named Jeanne
• Jeanne and her are the only known female knights to date and because of it, she looks up to Jeanne as inspiration 
• She's almost always seen in her armor, except for her undercover demon disguise and ballgown
• Using the powers of the Onyx Knight is slowly killing her, affecting her sword arm which makes it hard for her to fight consistently
• Cereza ends up living on past the ending of Virgin Soul with Rita and Zombie Kaisar, though she struggles to come to grips with it
• She also loses the ability to use her all together after the final battle and suffers with a heavily damaged body.
