Josephine

At first Josephine was being raised in the same way that every other God at the time would have been, even if her parents had marital issues. That was until the man, Abdue Wriedt. This man was a well known scientist in the field of demonology and got very famous from his experiments during the war but this fame was not enough for him. He wanted more. This was when he thought about perhaps creating war machines to do all the work for them but midway through he found out that mixing demon blood with the blood of other things could create cambions after he accidentally poured demon blood all over a rat and it started taking on hellwalker features. He turned to the Gods and asked them to lend him their children to test on but most denied him because of how experimental these tests were. Most except for the Gods of water and fire which were at the center of this war and were the most desperate for any help in fighting. Unfortunately for Josephine this meant that she would no longer have the life that she had and that everything would change for her. On the very first day she had the blood of the blood demon infused in her and she has never felt pain like that since then. Although there was a little bit of good that came out of this because this was where she met her first friend, Sorren. They got close very quickly and even started to hang out outside of just the lab and even if they both didn't realize it they started to crush on each other. This would all end eventually though when Doctor Wriedt made them go through a test where they'd fight with blind folds on just to see if the demon blood enhanced any of their 5 senses but this experiment went horribly wrong. It ended with Sorren stabbing his best friend in the heart which should have killed Josie but she found herself awake next to a hole with a demon standing over her.

The demon was Ares, the hellruler of control. Ares told Josephine that should she sell her soul to her and do her every bidding that she would keep her alive for however long she pleased and Josephine jumped on this opportunity as soon as she heard it. With enough manipulation from Ares, she soon started to resent Sorren and the other Gods. One of the first things that Ares made Josie do was kill her parents to prove her loyalty to her, which she did. Although eventually Ares loosened her grip on Josie and let her live a semi-normal life and eventually Josie managed to get a husband and a kid. Unfortunately to her this short period of joy would end when her son died and her husband left her shortly after. Ares took advantage of her horrible mental health and tightened her grip on her again. .

As of now Josephine is still slaving away to Ares’s every bidding and everyday was becoming more repetitive. Well, that's how it was till her teammates surprised her with something. Another chance to be a mother. At first Josephine got extremely aggressive with them asking how they could possibly drag someone so young into this line of work she eventually accepted him. She didn't really want to but she took on a motherly role for Vincent and was even the one to name him but eventually she lost this sense of comfort. Ares’s threats of killing him became increasingly more consistent and even though all she ever wanted to do was follow orders she decided to disobey just this once. She sent Vincent away to live with Sorren and made him promise to her that he's going to try his best to live at least a semi-normal life and he says okay. Unfortunately for her Ares quickly found out and started to fear she was losing control of her so she took control of her body and during a final showdown Ares almost made Josie kill the one thing that made her feel at ease. Thankfully though the connection between her and Ares was severed and Josie was freed. The first thing she did was hug Vincent.

After everything is over things definitely start to get better for Josie. For starters her and Sorren end up getting married and finally having the domestic life that they both have always longed for and she also ends up legally adopting Vincent. She even gets to watch him grow and she's able to give him the most normal life he could get.
