Rain

"A multi-purpose Ai made only for the rich and famous, they are expensive and rare due to its intelligence and wide variety of skills, along with the pricey materials needed to make them. 
Most people use them as glorified maids and butlers, but they can also be modded to be friends or weapons."

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 
Very androgynous shape. Sleek and clean, made to look beautiful and expensive. Touch-Screen on face can show a wide variety of emoticons, symbols and phrases in many situations, and can even be set to stream videos and find more resources from the internet. Is very flexible for a robot, even has sticky pads on its feet and digigrade hind legs in order to jump to high places and stick into position. 

Current Mods added onto them that default models don't come with:

• Lasers (used to propel upwards and as a weapon/form of defense)
• Enhanced speakers on head - mini sub woofers.
• Sentience chip (Makes Rain what they are today)
• Rainbow Changing LED colours - (Defaults come only with blue for neutral, red for alert and yellow for everything else) - allows for literally every colour of LED there is to be shown on corresponding body parts. Does not include LED screen on face, as all models have a full selection of colours that can be viewed.

White, synthetic hair is not a mod, but comes free in the box to be attached by the owner if they wish to personalize it more or make it appear to be more feminine or masculine to their liking. Rain chose to put the wig on themselves, but does not upkeep it all and often looks like they have bed hair all the time.The wig comes with woven in Fibre Optics that can be turned on or off at will.

PERSONALITY: 
Although they are classified as Ai, all of these robots are actually Vi. It is illegal on Montressa to make and mod Vi to the point of becoming an Ai(sentient)due to the possibility of them questioning, rising and evolving and fighting against their captors/masters, knowing that their position is unfair.
Rain however, was tampered with by Nathan (by request of Sam), and now is now fully self aware and equal with humans, if not greater. Rain is now completely sentient.
When in public, Rain must pretend to be an artificial Vi in order to pass and not get Sam arrested for breaking the law.

SEXUALITY: 
People can be known to mod and attach certain 'bits and pieces' to their models for pleasure. They are not normally programmed to expect, want or enjoy sex, but chips can be added in order to make it seem as if they do. However chips like these can only be bought on the black market or in shady, poor, steampunk sections in town as the law forbids it.

VOICE: 
Robotic but not entirely cold. Normal models sound like google translate reading out set words but with a little more emotion and techno-logic effects/filters. Rain however sounds and acts with real emotions, with real high pitch, low pitch and even voice breaks. Sam had to upgrade the speakers on their head just so Rain would stop breaking them with the various sounds they would make.

SETTING: 
Montressa. Lives in Delta City with Sam, in his humble little apartment. 

BACK STORY: 
Made and 'born' like every other Vi model, Rain was being shipped out to Delta City from Alpha City for a rich model who had very little trust in real maids and butlers, thinking they would steal from her when she wasn't around. However when Sam was zooming past on his hover board one day, he saw the package being taken out of the cargo ship and realized that one had fallen over and was left behind while the crew moved on with the rest of the models. So Sam stole the box, placed it on his hover board and guided the thing all the way home.
Upon opening it, the model did the usual start up requirements such as: Name, Gender and Pronouns, Age, City, Time and Date and other settings. After that was done however, Sam invited Nathan over in order to take out the lock chip heavily protected in the model, and place one that allowed for full sentience. And ever since then, Rain, (their chosen name after experiencing a rain storm soon after activation) began to question and act like real humans, like a young child trying to understand the world. 

ONGOING STORY:
Now living and hiding in Sams apartment, Rain is one of Sams best friends, and admires him greatly for his kindness and release. They like to clean up and cook and help Sam in any way possible, like a butler would, however they do this because they want to, not because he was programmed or forced to. Sam treats them like any normal roommate, but often has to tell them to calm down or act like a normal Vi in order to be safe.

LIKES:
Sam and his family, actual rain (is made from hydrophobic materials, so water does not affect them negatively), meeting new people, learning, exploring and living life the way it is. Is very content and happy to stay with Sam in his apartment forever, if that's what Sam wants.

DISLIKES:
Nathan (despite freeing him, he thinks he is a bad influence on Sam and a danger to them both), Police and their laws, social problems like homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, misogyny (thankfully Montressa didnt bring too many of these problems with it when everyone moved there from Earth), cruel and rude people, being treated like scrap metal.

STRENGTHS:

WEAKNESSES: 
Sam. If Sam were to be taken away or killed or used as a hostage, Rain would not hesitate to 'die' in his place or do something really stupid they would later regret.
