a god amongst men

A very tragic character, with her mortality and humanity stripped from her, she is forced to do the Sleeper's bidding as she has nothing else left that will fulfill her life. All other goals are too achievable and pass by fast with her newly achieved immortality

She is destined to be alone, the lone warrior to save humanity from the Gods wanting to tear them apart for all they have. Yet in her goal of protecting humanity, she loses more and more of hers. She is forced to witness the horrors bestowed upon others due to the greed of the Great Ones who simply want to take and take. She knows she is the hope of humanity, yet that only brings her farther away from being able to make connections with them. Her innate desire to protect those who depend on her makes her drift even farther from them once more. Yet she cannot go back to the life she had as a human, those bridges have been long since burned.

Desperately, she holds onto her memories of her own humanity, in hopes of remembering and not losing herself forever to the strength of the Sleeper. And whilst she holds those memories close to her heart, they are nothing more than that. Things she has no real way of experiencing again. Even if she did, she could no longer feel the same. Her knowledge, one that would make most mortals go mad, stops her from feeling like she could ever belong. She is stuck at the precipice of human and God. She still retains her own mind, but with a God sharing her own body and being all that keeps her alive, she loses connection with both her humanity and her Godhood. Yet that is what keeps her herself, if she were to slip more into one than the other, she would lose the balance and spiral fast, into something she could never change again...

❝ I hope that was worth thy time.
To worship a God long forgotten. ❞

Her body no longer feels like her own. Stolen from her just like her own life by the Sleeper. Whilst she is filled with hatered and vitriol towards the Sleeper, it has crawled into her and made its home there. It is a presence as strong as her own and wanting to seek revenge is the same as wanting to punish one's self for doing something. She is the Sleeper and the Sleeper is her. With a merge so destructive and fatal as hers, she's never had a chance to become herself again, as the Sleeper killed her and rebirthed her.

The Sleeper is a parasite in her body, keeping her alive as some sort of a puppet, yet it is not uncaring. It has picked her to be its vessel, the one to protect him and fulfil his wishes. He does all he can to keep her alive and does his best to keep her body from aching due to the trauma it was dealt thanks to his merge. She has become the perfect vessel for him and he will not let anything ruin her. But the Sleeper is still a God, a Great One humanity should not touch lest they fall to the sickly tune of their voices. Yet he is her and she is him. They cannot truly communicate, but they are intertwined. Neither can live or function without the other, making them the most seamless merge between a mortal and a Great One.

However, one can't help, but ask. Is that a good thing?
