Opulence

Opulence is a cat familiar that is bound to a Fallen Angel (1). He is trapped in a reincarnation cycle, being reborn in a different time and place after death. Opulence is one of the few loved ones he has gotten to keep with him so to speak, due to their linked spirits as his familiar, circumstances magically arrange to bring them together again for some (but not all) of his lives. He usually does not recognize or remember her beyond a vague, confusing feeling of familiarity. She sometimes remembers their shared past, but doesn't always say anything about it, to spare him the pain of knowing that he will always be separated from all that he knows and most of his other loved ones. This secret is a burden to her, and she will frequently think of the people they had loved and befriended in their prior lives.

She is his familiar, but she is viewed as a equal by him and not as a servant, and as a person, not a pet. She is a close, loyal friend.

Species

Opulence is a cat familiar - a familiar is a very broad, umbrella term for animals that -

- Are fully sapient - Overall, most animals in-setting are not, but there are certain species that are, and individual animals may be so even if there species normally isn't.

- Are magically linked (bound) to a person. The person normally is not a normal animal.

Powers: - Most or All lives.

Opulence is frequently not taken seriously in a fight because she is a cat, thus small and fragile looking. Opulence is tougher than she appears however. Her fighting style heavily revolves around being a glass cannon - using her speed and agility to try to take someone down before they can lend too many hits on her. Because of being a familiar, she has some magic, the exact nature of which may vary by each life.

Limited shapeshifting: She can appear as a normal black cat to hide herself. 

Summon circle: Opulence is summoned via a rune-like magic circle. This can be used in effect to teleport her around when in a fight, including in mid-air.

Strength: Opulence is stronger than a normal cat, enough so that she is often used to fetch a thrown sword, or use the sword herself.

Limited healing factor: Opulence cannot always avoid being hit, but she can recover from most injuries.

Sword Tail: Her tail can shapeshift into a blade.

Powers - situational

Shapeshifting: She may twist and distort her body just to unnerve others, such as by growing teeth for a cheshire cat grin or to appear demonic. Turning into a Panther-like big cat, with long fangs. Altering her tail to have a sharp edge, to use for cutting.

Linking to her master, so that he may literally see through her eyes: Because she can hide as a normal cat, this is useful for spying.

Her mother's name is Oracle.

Opulence has a witch hat and a few other items shadowing her ("shadowing" items are clothes or other objects that are linked or bound to a person's soul, and can be summoned either once during each life, or as many times as wanted)

Her favorite food is the typical cat favorite, tuna.

Her nickname is "Opal" or "Opal" lence because her name can be distortedly read this way. Opals can be purple, which is part of the reason for the nickname.
