Story: Stray Siren
Coral is the main character in the story, Stray Siren, its sequel Stray Siren: Storm, and (a third sequel with a title still in pending).
Stray Siren is a personal passion project, that was started in 2014 and still currently running! The comic is written, drawn and posted by me, and each page is made on my free time. The currently-running version of Stray Siren is a Zelda fanmade story, which was the original idea for this story. However, I also have plans in the works to rewrite another completely orginal, no-fandom version in the future! PAST
Coral was born in the ocean, raised in a typical Syranium clan. Her mother, Sylphi, was her only family growing up. A lot of promise seemed to be placed on Coral by other peers and clanmates, and had quite a bit of expectation placed on her. Her close friendship with another Siren with high promise around her age, Gilligan, added even more expecations on her, as they believed they would be their generation's power couple in the clan by the time they were adults. Coral's failure to eveolve and meet those expectations caused her and her mother to be shunned by their own clanmates, with very obvious "persuasions" to leave their home and go elsewhere. When Sylphi disappears, Coral does her best to endure her peer's bullying in hopes of her mother's return, until she can no longer take it. She flees to land not long after she turns 13 years old.
MAIN EVENTS
After fleeing the ocean, Coral joins a motley crew of pirates. She becomes the ship's lowest position, the swabbie. However, being in favor with the ship's second-in-command, Tora, gives her more advantage compared to the rest of the crew. She spends over two years on the ship with the crew, before getting tricked into purposeful expulsion by Cap'n Anchor and one of the other crew members, Rejii. After being abandoned, she no longer has anywhere else to go and decides to return to the ocean.
