Clarissa was born deep in the forest amongst a patch of ferns where she spent the first few weeks of her life. As a foal, she was very weak. But Unicorns in that region were sacred and were to be protected at all costs by the inhabitants of the forest. Before she could even remember, she was taken to an old man who practiced the art of magic. It was there that he crafted her heart. While it may look like a silly little string that binds the heart to her horn, it is strong and nearly impossible to break. Her heart is an outlet for and helps to contain her magic while also helping to keep her alive. Without it, she wouldn't survive long. Many of her emotions can be seen through the heart by how intensely it glows. It is a sensitive part of her as it is connected to her. When harm comes to her heart, it impacts her just as much. She grew up around the same patch of ferns she was born in until she was big and strong enough to go out on her own to explore the world. While she normally roams mountain regions, she can be found all over the world. Currently, though she is traveling with Elanzo and his brother Story as they search for their parents.
