Maemi Himura is a Kunoichi of Konohagakure's Himura clan. Famed as The Ogre-Faced Kunoichi, she is a highly skilled ninja with an impressive career in Konoha's Anbu Black Ops. Pressured into taking on students by the village elders, she's now considered a reserve unit within Anbu; only taking on the odd assignment. To her students Takehiko Aomine, Shiro Enenra, and Chiyoko, on Team 9, she is strict and often overly harsh, in hopes of demonstrating that shinobi life is no game.
Appearance
Maemi has a peachy complexion, with pale reddish brown hair and green eyes. Her hair is wavy worn in a long high ponytail tied up with a brass cord. In the front, she wears her bangs messy with strands of hair falling in both directions, framed by two longer locks not held by her ponytail. Maemi has a variety of beauty marks scattered around her body, most notably on her shoulders and at the lower left corner of her mouth. She also has an Anbu Black Ops tattoo on her left deltoid.
For Maemi’s regular outfit in the Blank Period, she wears a white, form-fitting, sleeveless top that has a cleavage window and the Himura clan emblem on the back. On her right arm, she wears a dark red arm sleeve that spans from her wrist to the middle of her bicep. She keeps her brass chakra cord coiled around her left arm from just above her elbow to her wrist with a length ending in two iron beads left hanging. She wears a high waisted, red, calf-length, wrap skirt with a deep red waistband that has a Konoha forehead protector plate on its left side. Under her skirt, she wears dark red leggings on her upper thighs, along with white knee pads that have a red hem and dark red shinobi sandals.

Personality
Maemi has never been shy to express her thoughts even at the expense of others feelings. She’s never felt like it was her job to make ever one happy. Maemi is fiercely focused on her professional goals making her impatience with passive people, who she feels will slow her down. She can often come off as hot-headed and argumentive as she's rarely one to let her opinion go unheard. Maemi will eventually value the views of those who she’s come to trust. Though she can be harsh she is by no means fun hating. Maemi has a playful side, often going out of her way to get under peoples skin. She normally won't bother playing games with people unless she actually cares for them. She has a bad habit of taking criticism as a personal slight, especially coming from her comrades.
After the fourth shinobi world war Maemi has grown bitter and even more unreasonable than in her younger years. She tends to redirect her grief into anger, which to her is a more productive tool. Not having worked on a traditional team for a while Maemi is impatient and unwilling to compromise. She is particularly annoyed when others doubt her or undermind her authority. She also gets incredibly frustrated with people she feels aren't trying hard enough. She detests quitters, those who gave up on shinobi life most of all; There is truly no lower life form than an ex-shinobi.
Abilities
Following the tradition of the Himura clan’s head, Maemi’s fighting style is heavily reliant on her chakra cord. When infused with Maemi’s chakra the the cord emits a charka disrupting field. When wrapped around someone with different chakra from the chakra within it, it blocks chakra flow, notably preventing used of substitution jutsu. Excelling at taijutsu Maemi uses a mostly defensive style, using her cord to catch her opponent's weapons or arm to manipulate and restrict their movement while preventing escape. When she finds an opening in their defense she disables her opponents with the chakra scalpel technique and senbons. Due to her Anbu training, she is also proficient in kenjutsu, though she still uses her chakra cord in tandem with her blade.
Chakra Control and Physical Prowess: Maemi has always been advanced in when it comes to chakra control as it is the primary skill involed with using her chakra cord. She uses this talent well for medical ninjutsu and is even able to manifest chakra scalpels on her feet; a skill with purely offensive use. She is rather proficient in breaking genjutsu though she has no particular ability for casting them. Physically Maemi’s strength is one of her weakest attributes though she is still by no means weak. Her specialized style of taijutsu puts a greater focus on outmaneuvering and outlasting her opponents than on beating them into submission.
Ninjutsu: Because Maemi strongly favors taijutsu, she mostly uses ninjutsu to enhance her taijutsu, for medicinal porpuses and to fight at longer range when her foes are unwilling to get close. Because Maemi has trouble fighting multiple opponents she’s become an abide user of shadow clones in order to even her ods. To make her hand to hand more effective she employs chakra scalpels often four at once. By electrifying her cord and blade she can stun opponents and block lightning based jutsus as well as greatly increase her blade's cutting power. Wrapping her weapons in fire allows her to block fire, burn enemies and throw midranges waves of flame. Maemi is capable of healing her allies as well as her self give any team she’s on long survivability. Maemi is also capable of using electrified senbons and variety of long-range lightning and fire techniques to ensure that her opponents don't get comfortable at long range were she’s less deadly.
Intelligence: Maemi’s intelligence is just above averge for a shinobi, she’s fairly skilled at identifying weakness in her opponents form but is unable to develop complex strategists. Despite her hot-tempered demeanor she tends to stay level headed in a fight. Though she has some good leadership traits like her abilty command others and encourages growth, her unwillingness to take others opinions into consideration can hold her back from leading reliably. Furthermore her tendency to be short with her teammates has a negative effect on team morale.

Early Life
Maemi’s mother Mariko had suffered from illness for as long as she could remember. Aware of here mortality Mariko taught Maemi to master their clan's chakra cord so she would be ready to take over the clan. Because of the early training in chakra control, Maemi excelled at the ninja academy. At some point, the other kids at school began to tease Maemi by calling her ogre-face after she said the ogre-faced spider was her favorite animal. At the age of nine Maemi watched her mother succumb to the illness that had plagued her for so long. In her final moments, she held her daughter's hand and told her to be strong, she was an adult now, and the new head of the Himura clan. As she spoke she uncoiled her chakra cord from around her arm and coiled it around Maemi’s. Lastly, she told Maemi that she loved her and was proud of the kunoichi she was becoming.
Following her mother’s death, Maemi began training even harder determined to honor her mother's memory by becoming the best ninja she could be. Maemi hoped to achieve her dream of greatness by becoming a member of the Anbu Black Ops. She worked so hard that year she managed to advanced an additional grade. In her new class, she made friends with Hajime and Junko.
Maemi graduated in the top percentile of her genin class meaning her other teammates were Yokobori Teigo, a student who barely passed and Kumaki Rota an extremely lazy and mediocre student. Maemi, Teigo, and Rota formed team 5 taught by Tsukahara Ichibei. Maemi took on a leadership role among her teammates. she made it her responsibility to ensure that her teammates never fell too far behind whether they liked it or not. This usually consists of yell at them and forcing them to train long after Ichibei had dismissed them. Her teammates adopted the ogre-face nickname for her believing it referred to how her face looked when she was angry. Maemi begin to take up medical jutsu so she could better support her teammates who were prone to injury.
PART I
Chūnin Exams
At the age of 14 Maemi and her team were finally ready to participate in a chuunin exam. Around the time of the chuunin exams, people began to refer to Maemi as The Ogre-Faced Kunoichi, seemly do to some misunderstanding. During the exams, Maemi managed to carry her team through the first two sections. In the third round preliminaries, both of Maemi’s teammates were knocked out, leaving her as the only member of team 5 to advance. During the third round, Maemi was matched ageist Akahane Shinji a vulture taming shinobi from Sunagakure. Their match was a nailbiter, victory was within Maemi’s grasp more than once but she was ultimately overwhelmed by Shinji and his vulture's teamwork. Despite losing her match she was promoted to chuunin.
