" Zookeepers are docile creatures who have hollow chests. Some have cages in place of torsos, and others have glass tanks. Zookeepers keep small animals in their chests, such as birds, small mammals, fish, and reptiles. They have a synergistic relationship, where the zookeeper provides its animals with food and shelter, and the animals provide the zookeeper with life.

Physically speaking, zookeepers are tall, light-bodied creatures who are similar to fauns in that they have human arms and furry legs. Their hairstyles and tails vary, and their coloration tends to be muted. They are generally androgynous, and it is difficult to tell the sex of a zookeeper from the outside. If living in ideal conditions, a zookeeper can live indefinitely (as long as it always has animals to keep)-- however, they are mortal and vulnerable to physical wounds. "
