Regent Prince Silvereaux Nymphapatura, or simply Ro, is a young adult emperor butterfly who is currently ruling over the butterfly empire in the absence of their father. They are goodhearted but somewhat lazy and inattentive; despite having been raised largely by the castle staff, who tried to cultivate a sense of mindfulness within the young ruler, they still turned out largely undisciplined (perhaps because they could get out of any punishment with a trembling lip).
The castle staff affectionately nicknamed them "Parsley" as a child, as they were so fussy about their baths that they often came out of water with "hair like parsley leaves."
Since becoming regent after their father's unexplained disappearance, Ro has grown sullen, stoic, and withdrawn, and these traits only further cemented themselves when the crown appeared above their head. This is almost always indicative of the previous ruler's death, but Ro is convinced that, without a body, their father's status cannot be truly verified. They refuse to accept the title of Emperor until their father is found, dead or alive.
