Hopenose

Hopekit was born to Sweetpetal and Sprucestripe alongside her brother, Reedkit. She was raised in a very healthy family and both kits had a very close relationship with their father, he taught them almost everything before they even became apprentices. Her brother was still a bit headstrong but she and Reedkit got along perfectly and did practically everything together. There were no other kits in the nursery at the time, so they only had each other to play with most of the time.

Hopepaw was originally apprenticed to Darksea to be trained as a warrior, although she could hardly keep up with training due to being abnormally small. In a fishing session with her mentor and Reedpaw too, she coudn't stretch her front paws out far enough to catch and fell into the river. Her short legs were unable to keep herself afloat let alone swim at all, had it not been for Darksea she would have drowned in the current. Although Hopepaw wanted nothing more than to train alongside her brother, she no longer felt comfortable training as a warrior, especially considering Mudclan's greatest strengths came from the river and water alone. Reedpaw was disappointed when Hopepaw chose to train as a medicine cat but supported her nonetheless. From then on; Hopepaw was apprenticed by Spiderpatch and she strived to know everything her mentor did. Spiderpatch was far from as chatty and outgoing as Hopepaw was but she was still kind and patient with her apprentice. Hopepaw was grateful to have Spiderpatch as her mentor.
