An unassuming, subdued man, Yashiro was born seventh place in the line of succession to the head of the Raijin Court, an ancient noble lineage which has since fallen out of favour with the Imperial Household several centuries prior due to the meddling of another rival court. The child of a humble courtesan and a low-ranking prince, Yashiro's early years were expended fully on shielding himself and his twin sister Miyuu from the machinations of those who wished ill on his family or the very blood which flowed through his veins. As his awareness of the precarious nature of their situation grew, Yashiro made the decision to take up a position with the Imperial Shrine, hoping that the vocation would grant himself and Miyuu some form of protection from the turbulent conditions at court. Yashiro currently sticks to the maxims of "staying inconspicuous" and "not stirring the pot", preferring to keep his distance from other people unless absolutely necessary.
