Sam

Sam is a medical officer and member of a large network of scouts for the Angels, a loosely anarchist group formed to oppose a larger fascist movement called the Saviors in a post-apocalyptic North America. He travels with his partner and platonic soulmate Ara during the events of the story, along the way picking up Andi -- a teenage eyewitness to the rise of the most recent and violent wave of the Saviors, and who might have the information they need on the Saviors' shadowy leader.

• LOVES music of all sorts; his favorites are early 21st-Century pop, late 21st-Century political and protest media, and swing/jazz. he has one of those little CD cases everybody had in the early 2000's and a CD player/speaker altered to be nearly indestructible for playing music on the road
• loves and will die for Ara Taylor
• master forager; keeps a tattered guide to edible plants covered in personal notes and supplemented with pages torn out of other books on the subject
• likes to sew and is the designated Repairer of Clothes; his steady hand with sutures translates to tight even stitching on clothes, and he finds the activity soothing
• very eager and genuine, sometimes to the point of being a bit goofy/silly

• very blue-coded all around actually, as evidenced from his outfits
• around 6'1"? i've never given him a canon height but he's Tall
• long straight scar running across his mid-back; partially covered by a tattoo of a sunflower that's only partially finished/colored in
• pair of thin faint scars over right side of jaw/cheek (left side if you're looking at him)
  
• usually, but not always, has his wrists & hands wrapped for stability; he has a lot of "classical" Angel training, which means he's very good at freerunning and parkour
