Quickchange is a Mini-Cassette who acts as a double-triple-quadruple agent for both the Autobots and the Decepticons. He's more invested in his own self-interest than in the cause of either side, just keeping his optics peeled until it's clear who'll win the war. Neither Optimus Prime nor Megatron trust him even a little bit--which is the correct move--but somehow neither of them have killed him yet (though Megatron's gotten pretty damn close). Optimus prefers to placate Quickchange with small, menial tasks that seem important but betray no Autobot intel, whereas Megatron is taking much more of a "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" approach. He'll keep the runt right by his side at all times, and if Quickchange moves so much as a cable in a way that he doesn't like, then he'll squash him like a simple earth insect at a moment's notice.
