Ghost
Meta's longest companion, his ghost Eef has seen Meta through all of his adventures. Eef tries his best to find new things and activities Meta can do outside the tower, pressuring the guardian with notifs and reminders when he's refusing to visit Postmaster or ignoring a message. Eef can struggle at times to keep up with Meta and often finds himself getting scolded when he offers a torch a little too late. But regardless of Meta's lighthearted jokes to destroy or punt Eef, Eef has a lot of faith in Meta and can only keep trying his best to be as good of a ghost as he can be.
Personality
Not one to openly speak much about themselves, Meta can appear to be one of the more secretive guardians. She'll answers questions and will share more often to those she's known longer, but Meta rarely goes out of her way to discuss her personal endeavours. Alternatively, Meta much prefers hearing of the adventures of others, and will happily listen to stories and tales from her fireteam as they go about their work or offer her thoughts and advice where requested. Meta will cut to the chase when she feels something is off or wants to get a move on, but is generally understanding and will always offer to resume a conversation at a later point if the cut off is sudden. This can make Meta come across as reserved and at times difficult to get a hold of, but she's usually just busy or has as most times, too much on her plate. When graced with a break, Meta is always on board for some spontaneous joy trips or a mueseum treck, and will often try to make up time to friends for her abssence.
Whilst she usually keeps a relaxed stance towards guardian work and prefers things lighthearted, Meta does find the nit and grit intriguing and wouldn't turn her head up to some friendly contest. Meta probably wouldn't take it particularly seriously, having no issue with losing if it's for the better fun of the group, but sees no harm in destroying more experienced guardians every now and then. She loves learning new tricks and tell signs, and the idea of new secrets, treasures or history keeps Meta on her toes. Not that she won't end up dismantling whatever the treasure is, but it's the act of finding and gaining said treasure that excites her the most. Puzzles and interesting new mechanics are always up Meta's alley, and overcoming them is just part of the fun.
Meta is a caring warlock, often stepping into matters that don't involve her if she believes it could help reduce losses, but isn't the type of exo to allow those feelings to get in the way of other matters. She's very experienced with what comes in a battle and unfortunately knows too well the cost of battle. Meta has grown a dislike to excessive slaughter where uncalled for, finding it distastful and often a waste of time when it goes beyond the crime. Whilst a potentiality in the future is one thing she understands, making baseless claims to support senseless slaughter is not a standard Meta can get behind as someone who highly regards information. Meta is always willing to take on leadership and make decisions that may come harder to less experienced guardians, unafraid of taking the harsher risks for the benefit of the fireteam. She has enough faith in her companions that should something go amiss, whatever is beyond her capabilities, they will be able to compensate for. Be it before or after she finds herself on the chopping block.
A very calculated warlock who works well on the spot, if she knows well enough the characters on her fireteam, she'll usually do her best to work around them and simply optimise her own approach to suit theirs. That isn't to say Meta is remotely reliant on being "all-knowing" or having poured hours into crafting the perfect fool-proof plan. Meta finds that approach far too restrictive and takes out a lot of fun out of the adventure. Encountering puzzles and unpredictability (to a safe extent) is what brings Meta the most thrill out of expeditions, and how those challenges are tackled with the guardians that experience is shared with, in that moment, leads to some of the most treasured memories Meta has. She adores exploration and is always open to be surprised or proven wrong.
Guardian
Meta isn't a fan of switching loudout often, finding the effort to be too much work regardless of how much better or how well she'd fare with variation. She's had practice with other weapons and powers, and whilst she doesn't find any weapon particularly difficult or out of her way to use, Meta grew affiliated to void and her Osteo Striga quickly. They seem to get the job done fine, so she hasn't felt the need to change since. The submachine gun likely isn't the best weapon for Meta to rely on given her precision and the potential for weapons like bows or snipers that could suit her better, but she'll defend the submachine guns regardless. Someone has to. Meta doesn't enjoy using her vault often and will destroy the majority of equipment as she receives them if they don't appear to be of immediate use to her. She'd offer to donate them to better causes if she could, but for now she'll settle for the legendary shards.
What exactly Meta does for the vanguard can usually only be pondered from rumours. She doesn't speak often of hobbies beyond research, exploration and cleaning her armour and suit. Whether she does odd jobs or takes special requests, it's difficult to pinpoint when Meta seems to enjoy keeping it underwraps. She's developed a large amount of contacts and 'favours' over time that she'll call in only when she feels her hands are tied or to help out a fellow guardian in a sticky situation. For the most part it doesn't appear Meta would go into anything related to blackmail, seemingly far too much work and effort to gain subjectively not an awful lot. She has a good reputation to support her efforts and despite the mystique, has been a reliable ally to the vanguard and those who reach out for her assistance.
