Deities

Deities are the creators, governors and doombringers of reality as we know it. The highest deities, known as gods, oversee existence in a way no other deity can. An epoch is a set amount of time a god can exist before stepping down from their title and letting a beneficiary take their place, becoming the next in line. A beneficiary is most often created by the god but other scenarios can happen when a god gives their title, for example to a deity or court member they've employed.
