The apocalypse changed everyone's life forever, for Yemi it was her beginning, a gift that she works hard every day to make the most of.

She serves as a recruit for 01ParaBomber. Pup doesn't hold any major power within the group, but does have some level of authority due to pup's long membership. She takes on a scout role when on outings.

When the nuke hit Yemi started out as a nomad, never settling down to call anywhere her base. She wandered the nowhere and salvaged what she could to keep herself going until she could sort out something more stable. For a long while she didn't have anyone to talk to, which she didn't mind because she was never the social type, but it left her with nothing but her thoughts.

Before the apocalypse Yemi was a tormented autistic child, she immigrated from South India with her parents when she was very young. Even in South India she was treated differently because of her undiagnosed ASD, it was something that no one in her life understood about her. Immigrating mixed with undiagnosed autism gave her major trouble fitting in.

Pup's first school was a special education suited classroom, but it didn't care about her. No one understood that the room was too loud and the uniform was too scratchy and that Yemi didn't like being touched or yelled at, pup was tortured by the absolute sensory nightmare, and that was her childhood. She was spoken to like she was a problem, a siren that they had to keep calm, she was treated as if she was dangerous. She was eight.

For months, all she could do was think. She realized a lot of things about her life and the people around her that she hadn't before, and she realized that she didn't feel human... She had never felt like she had been spoken to or treated or even so much as looked at like a human once in her entire life. She felt that she was more of a creature to the people who had to put up with her, some rabid animal that they tolerated out of obligation and law.

Yemi is a dog, a dog forced into a human body because she's destined for things more than what a simple dog body can do for her. She repaints her face white with black spots every time it wears off, she knots dog ears into her hair every month, she ties a tail around her hips, and she runs on all fours. She barks, she snarls, and she likes to be pet.

In Yemi's eyes, she is a guard dog living in the apocalypse with her owner, humanity. There's some differences of course, Yemi will recommend you rock bands and dye your hair, she'll tell you a good spot to find your team's next kill, she'll cook you food when it's her turn to do it, but Yemi is a dog. She's more comfortable describing herself and identifying that way. She doesn't mind being referred to as a human of course, she is comfortable with the body that she was given, she just asks that you respect that her outside doesn't reflect whats within.

Yemi is content to call ParaBomber her home, and she takes immense pride in her role. Yemi considers her work to be some sort of payment for the gift of her new life in the apocalypse, a sort of thank you to the world for letting her survive. The world gave her this new life and in return she keeps it's creations safe. Yemi does not think that she has earned this life, but she hopes to get close someday.
