something left behind. buried deep within the forest.
buried with roses, red as blood. red blood.
fondness grows like the roses covering their eyes.
like the blood slowly seeping onto the roses.
Mono. a ghost of someone long forgotten
who refuses to be forgotten.
Perhaps he forgot himself. Killed and buried.
Still haunting. Perhaps he doesn't know.
Followed by the faint smell of copper and roses.
Roses grow on him, hiding what's rotten.
Sometimes, he leaves them behind.

• they were killed by someone who wanted him for themselves and decided "if I  can't have you, then no one can"
• and when they killed Mono, they also promised to make sure that he will be forgotten by everyone else but them, so that he will be forever theirs and theirs only
• Mono sort of  returned as a ghost, unable to move on because of the way they died
• the first thing they did when returning as a ghost was they sought out whomever killed him and killed them
• but Mono also remembers "their  promise" and is now afraid of being forgotten
• so he turned into some sort of boogeyman, a folklore, a legend
• it is said that he can be summoned similar to bloody mary and some tales say that you will die  after encountering his ghost in the forest
• he keeps killing just to make sure that people keep talking about him, that he is never forgotten, because he is afraid of being forgotten
