History

Jaws was born in O'ahu, Hawaii. His family had lived there for generations, and he loved it there for the five years that he got to experience life there, however his family, namely his parents, decided that moving to the states would be a better idea for their careers. They moved to Miami just before his sixth birthday, and he really did struggle fitting in with the other kids. He wasn't particularly popular as a kid in elementary, but he still seemed to get the attention of one of the goofier students in his class. Chase Avery was the boy that walked up to him in the playground, asking about his dinosaur toy, and since then they were friends. Over the next year his parents relationship became more and more strained before they eventually decided to get a divorce. At the time he didn't understand or know, but he went on to live with his father in the USA whilst his mother moved back to Hawaii. However, his grandmother [on his fathers side] decided to move in with them. She said 'the boy needed some family'. Jaws wasn't very happy growing up, and will continue to not be very happy, but Chase really made his life a little better. He would often have sleep overs and spend the weekend over there. It gave him space from his dad and Chase's parents were always nice as can be to him and treated Jaws as if he were his own. During these years, especially during the early half of their friendship, Chase at some point introduced Jaws to surfing. His mother had surfed and so he wanted to try. Chase told his father, Grant, and Grant taught Jaws to surf.

Middleschool was terrible but pretty uneventful. The usual, "I hate this place", "This place fucking sucks", and not doing his work. He had awful grades, but so did Chase, and he got into the same highshool together. There highschool years were fun but awful. Neither of them really have anything great or bad to say about these few years of their life, but they do have some decent and fun memories. During this time they skipped a lot of days to go out and surf, skipped just because, and genuinely got up to all sorts of mischief. They say it's the 90s spark that let them get away with as much as they did. During these years the two of them were known as the class clowns, the school fools, the goofy bastards who didn't work and probably smoked but never smelt of anything. They often made people laugh with their odd dynamic. They did get into a lot of trouble with pranks, but they got in more trouble with their parents. Specifically Jaws did. This caused Jaws and his father and grandmothers relationship to be incredibly strained and ended up with Jaws getting his own room in the Avery house. He ended up staying with Chase's family more and more often. Neither Chase's parents or Jaws' dad minded. Also during this time, the two boys discovered that they weren't in fact... normal. After being so close for so long they were comfortable with talking about themselves and their feelings, and quickly discovered they both liked guys, but not eachother. They often 'fan-boyed' about a specific guy in their year called MIchael. Yet, after a year or so they found out this wasn't in a very normal thing and not everyone felt like this. It felt like a slap in the face and was very confusing, but Michael seemed to not have an issue with it considering the odd interactions it had with Jaws. However, also during this time Jaws noticed how odd Chase behaved with Paisley and specifically to her boyfriends. He'd often mention it to him but he'd always shut it down. But also right after that is when Jaws met Harper. He was never able to speak to her and instead would only stutter and make excuses to leave. He was entranced by her but also incredibly terrified. He had a couple toxic and crazy girlfriends during this time, but he also met the worst person in his life near the very end of his highschool years. Jay. He met him in senior year and would forever regret it. They left highschool strong socially but terribly grade wise. Either way, neither of them really needed grades. Chase had his surfing career in his fathers footsteps and Jaws had his dads business... as much as he didn't want to work with him.

Starting adult life was strange and uncomfortable for him. He personally wanted to get and achieve higher education, but his father wouldn't allow it. He claimed that he didn't deserve it and he didn't want to be stuck with a more financially burdening son. Jaws was obviously upset, but after having worked with his father in his shop and on cars for years he saw it as an easier way out. Immediately he noticed that he was underpaid and overworked, however every time he brought it up to his father a screaming match would commence. If anything, he'd give him less for that month if he brought it up. He always made sure that he could afford the bare minimum and his rent when he eventually got his own place, but never left him money for saving or using on stuff other than food. Nearing to his 19th birthday he got in a relationship with Jay. It of course ended absolutely terribly in a toxic and terrible mess, but Jaws took the breakup hard. He turned to Chase for comfort but he wasn't much help as Chase had been pointing out red flags for years and struggled to care for how hurt he was. Jaws couldn't be mad at him, he could understand how Chase saw this as him feeling sorry for himself. Around his 20th birthday is when he got his first motorcycle. It was his absolute pride and joy, but also around this time he got back in touch with Jay after ghosting him for a good long while. They weren't talking about anything really as Jay was in a relationship at the time and Jaws was talking to someone at the time. Jaws eventually got with the girl he was talking to, her name being Amber, and it seemed pretty serious. However, he was still lightly chatting to Jay at the time. Jay's partner didn't take this too well and messed with Jaws' bikes breaks. Because of this he had his crash. The crash was terrible. He broke his shin so badly a rod needed to be placed on the bone, had permenent scarring on his left arm and a few none permenent roadburn on his legs. When he got out of surgery and was open to see people Amber was the first person in there. As soon as she saw him she smiled, but not a relieving smile, more like a mischievious smile. She said a very strange things and Jaws immediately ended things in that room. A few hours after she left Chase came in and he told him about it. After he was discharged and a few months after that, Chase introduced Jaws to a guy called Nico. Chase and Nico were incredibly similar, though Nico was a little more air-headed. Jaws quickly adapted to him being around, and before they knew it they were a trio. It was also around this time that Jaws got a dog. After being injured and struggling to get back into his mojo, he decided to rescue a dog, and that dog was Bullseye the Bull terrier. It took a while for them to adjust together but even after the poor things awful history with people, Jaws was able to get him to be the dog he is today. Over the next few years he'd get with Jay a few times, leaving after a month or so claiming he didn't change, but would go back to him after a while. As of now he's sick of him and truly doesn't plan to get back with him. Throughout all of this time he had been surfing as a hobby and a side hustle, usually with chase and usually locally unless Chase dragged him and Nico out to some far-away state in the van. However, one day whilst relaxing on his board he had the worst experience any surfer could have, and narrowly escape with his life. A shark had bitten his board, just missing his hands and almost catching Jaws when he fell off the board. The only thing that saved him really is the fact that he accidentally kicked the shark in the nose when he fell of that scared the thing. It was less the shark attack that scared him and more the fact he had basically no working board and no way to get back to shore. He was saved, but the idle of being stranded at sea because a new and harsh fear of his. He's made it adement that he's not scared of sharks nor hates them, just the ocean and water. Since then he hasn't stepped foot back in water that wasn't a backyard pool [namely the Avery house's]. The years have been tough, but he's been getting by. He wishes his life was easier, but he's used to not getting what he wants.

Personality

Jaws is a man who's outwardly known to be kind of a prick, an asshole, having a resting bitchface, easily annoyed and rude. He doesn't like people and is surprisingly introverted for how extroverted he behaves sometimes. However, to those who truly know him he is one of the kindest, sweetest and caring people. He's truly one of the most loyal people, and especially one of the most caring of the three in the trio, somehow beating Chase in that aspect. He's a good person to vent to, he likes to listen to people and be there to help them with advice. He also just likes being there for people for support as its something he kind of lacked in his early life. He likes making sure that people know they have someone to talk to. That people care. He didn't have that other than Chase growing up and he knows that things are hard. He, if anyone, knows that life is hard.

However, like mentioned before, he is incredibly quick to anger. His temper is as short and his paitence even shorter. He doesn't really seem to care about others feelings if they aren't inherently important to him. Even if they are, if their stupidity is getting to him he does tend to blow up. If you want to poke fun at someone he simultaneously is and isn't the person you should do it to. He has the ability to bitch slap the life out of you, but you would also get some seriously funny reactions out of him. He doesn't really have a filter either and he is also known to be a bit of a slick talker. All in all he has good traits, but there's no such thing as angels... if you take Chase out of the equation.
