Ivory Pace

Ivory Pace is a 46-year-old carpenter, second hand boutique owner and lover of extreme sports such as mountain biking. Ivory loves to also ride his motorbike. They have been a widower for 10 years and lost their previous spouse after seven (7) years of marriage. Ivory is nonbinary and has always been hard of hearing. His left ear is completely deaf while their right ear can hear adequately with a hearing aid.

Ivory is a fun-loving person who has a tight-knit friend group of fellow queer and Deaf people. Their grief over their late husband has eased in the past few years, and they've worked hard to live a life despite being left alone. His friend group was instrumental in keeping them sane during this time. After a few years, Ivory fulfilled his and his late spouse's dream of opening a second hand shop. He restores and sells antique furniture.

Tall and lanky, Ivory still has strength in his body due to their affinity towards mountain biking and rock climbing. They have short curly salt-and-pepper hair and a dark mustache. Ivory is often regarded as older than they are, because grief and trauma show on their skin as aging. They dress in dark, loose clothes, leather, graphic t-shirts and denim. You can also see them sometimes wearing light summer dresses.

Ivory’s right ear has moderate hearing loss, and their left ear is deaf. Thus, Ivory wears a hearing aid on the right ear. Ivory has a tendency to tilt their head forward when listening to people just to get a better sound to the hearing ear. They have very vigilant eyes which can give them a jovial, curious vibe.
