He got his cutie mark not long after his half-sister, Flurry Heart, when he accidently broke a couple up. A couple that everyone was convinced were perfect for each other, but Rhys somehow, accidently managed to convince them that they weren't actually perfect for each other.
This was when the mark appeared, the barbed wire like marking stretching down from the cutie mark. As well as the small cut like markings.
To say Rhys Breaker was heart broken would be an understatement, he tried to hide it from his family for as long as possible, embarrassed at it all and worried about how it connected him to his birth mother. The worst thing was the burst of energy and magic he felt when this happened, it horrified him.
