Ishka is a quiet, anxious sort of girl. She doesn't care for crowds, and just the idea of talking in front of a group makes her freeze. She would much rather keep to herself, stay in her own home curled up with a book. Despite her lack of confidence, the only thing she takes pride in is her mathematical ability. Her math is always correct, and she'll make sure you know it. Even if she has to break it down to a level that an infant could understand. The moment a conversation switches from math, however, is when Ishka retreats. In the rare occurrence that Ishka does make a friend, she's the type to really hold them close. In her experience, friends are hard to come by. She is very loyal, almost to a fault. It can sometimes lead to her being stepped on by those who only use her to their own benefit. WC: 154

History

Ishka Dyne grew up in a little coastal town in Nymene. Her mother and father owned a small fishing boat, and sold fresh and dried fish caught in Mirror Bay. Ishka's family was fairly poor, but her parents always put as much as they could into her education when she showed an affinity for mathematics. From a young age, Ishka did a lot of the bookkeeping for her family's fishing business. Because she spent almost all of her time helping her family, Ishka didn't have a lot of free time to make friends outside of school. Not that she really had the desire to make friends, seeing as she was often made fun of for her love of math and being the daughter of poor fishmongers. The teasing and harassment continued well into her teens, and only ramped up as she gained weight and had a hard time getting rid of it. By the time she graduated from high school, Ishka had no friends and no desire to make friends. The only thing she was ever confident in was her mathematical prowess. It was a rare occurrence that anyone questioned her numbers, but when they did, Ishka proudly and loudly defended her math. When Ishka turned twenty-three, her parents surprised her with enough money to send her to Ivras for at least a year. They wanted her to further her education and make a better life for herself. With a nervous but grateful goodbye, off Ishka went to Ivras. She was in school for about a year, gaining valuable knowledge and education before using the last of her money to move to Mead in search of a job. It's here that she met Josef, who was in need of an accountant and bookkeeper for his growing number of businesses. While she wasn't fully aware of exactly the kind of dealings she would be crunching numbers for, the pay is just too good for her to move on to another job. Especially since she's able to send money back to her parents back in Nymene to help them live more comfortably. WC: 350
