Life in Black Rock is difficult for the creatures that live there, but doubly so for prey animals. Solas knows this better than anyone. This isn't the first herd he's led, but he's determined that it'll be the one that he keeps safe. He's always serious, has a constant eye out for danger, and won't listen to anyone trying to change his mind about anything. His heart is in the right place, but he has a hard time showing that he means well. He tries to be involved in the lives of all his herd members. He knows them well, but doesn't really get along with any of them. That's fine by him, so long as everyone is safe.
