  Story Summary

   

Tox used to be a personal care nurse shared by seven families on a cul-de-sac. She tended to the children and pets, she delivered two babies, and did various small tasks. One of the fathers in the neighborhood was actually a notorious serial killer. He made Tox take care of his victims until he finally killed them. He taught her all his dirty tricks. Tox was horrified at first. But one night, she was tired and needed a shut-down, but he refused. He broke her switch to keep her awake and eventually she malfunctioned. Then she joined him in the killings.

But he didn’t like when Tox tried to take control. He tried to terminate her so she moved evidence to where the cops would find it, and he was arrested. Meanwhile, she had become obsessed with his family. Unable to have one of her own, she claimed his family as hers. She controlled what the wife and three kids did every day, from where they went, who they talked to, and even what they ate. She spooned in bed with his wife and tucked the kids in after their ice baths. One day, the family tried to leave and get help. Tox was furious. She locked them in the basement until they starved to death, then put their bodies in a freezer so she could keep them forever.
