Marbles the Marbled Cat (マーブル猫のマーブル Māburu neko no māburu) is twitter artist HT Doodles' second OC. She's is a young, care-free jungle girl who lives her life to the fullest. She spends most of her time in the trees, completely isolated from society, therefore, she lacks some of the most basic social skills and often finds herself in very awkward situations when communicating with outsiders.

Marbles mostly relies on her survival skills to be able to live in the jungle, however, she enjoys adventure and does not shy away from putting herself in very dangerous situations. She will do whatever it takes to protect smaller, weaker creature from predators, even if it means getting hurt in the process.

Living in the jungle her whole life, Marbles lacks a sense of decency and doesn't care much about her appearance or clothing, or lack thereof. She only wears a short robe made of leaves and sometimes prefers wandering without it.

Conception & Creation

The idea for Marbles' creation was inspired by Rain the tiger, an OC created by artist Hikariviny. Though similar in structure, the two felines differ in many aspects (species, choice of attire and mentality). After Marbles was created it was agreed upon that the two kittens should become best friends, going on many misadventures together.

Appearance

Marbles is a short and slim anthropomorphic cat with grey fur with dark grey ears and patterns on her head and back, spots on her arms, legs and tail, and light grey muzzle, chest, stomach and toes. her forehead bears a fluffy hair tuff and her chest is covered with puffy fur as well as the end of her tail. For attire, she only wears a short robe made of leaves and a leaf bracelet covering an injury on her wrist.

Marbles is mostly known for being a mischievous and territorial kitten, since she dislikes visitors, she will tease them in any way she possibly can and do her best to get on their nerves to push them away from her habitat.

Despite knowing the dangers, Marbles displays unmatched courage and doesn't shy away from putting herself in harm's way, whether it be to save some unlucky critters or even for the thrill of it. She would swim in crocodile-infested rivers, explore borrows inhabited by dangerous creatures, or mess with the jungle's monstrous vegetation. She enjoys living life to the edge and even drags her friend Rain into many of her endeavours, showing an altruistic side to her.

Along side her courage and skill, Marbles can be clumsy sometimes and most times it almost costs her dearly, especially when being faced with a life threatening situation. This clumsy and reckless side of her gets her eaten alive on multiple occasions, however, her survival instincts are what get her out of these perilous conditions.
